Biography

Robert Barker is a founding partner of Baca Architects. Baca is internationally recognised for innovation in flood resilient and adaptable architecture and spatial planning. The LifE project, funded by Defra, explores innovative ways to tackle flooding and climate change through the built environment.

In the Thames Gateway the LifE approach explores how to make space for water, what it will look like and how much it might cost. Baca are also the Architects for the Silvertown Surf Centre, a world class urban attractor, that will animate a large part of the former docks, bringing water to life in an exciting and dynamic way.
